RM77mil diamond ring returned to sender, says Nazri

THE US$24mil (RM77mil) diamond ring, allegedly bought by Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, was never actually paid for or purchased by anyone.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz said the ring had been returned to the company that owned it.
“The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) referred to the Customs Department regarding this matter.
“The department then confirmed that no purchases were made on the ring,” he said in a written reply to Lim Lip Eng (DAP-Segambut).
Lim had asked Nazri to reveal the status of investigations by the MACC, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and police on allegations that Rosmah had bought the ring.
Several websites had previously carried photographs of a computer screen showing a ring from New York celebrity jeweller Jacob and Co, allegedly bought under Rosmah’s name.
A blogger had claimed that the ring was sent to Rosmah in April.
So how the F*** does a company allows a person to take a diamond ring costing millions without paying for it? mmm.. I smell fish..
Oh well, I guess in this BOLEH-land, anything is possible! This is such my country.

Cooking is so much fun!

Finally, I've decided to write something again on my blog. These past few months and even the past year has been crazy for me! Graduated college last month, starting a new job, moved down to Dallas, went to LA for a 2 weeks vacations etc!

But what I cant contain anymore is the fun of cooking and making healthy meals. These days I've tried out with making different stuff with Avocado, a extremely healthy and delicious tree fruit. The first of what I made is the legendary Guacamole:

It taste amazing! I had some diced onions, peppers and salt in it. I tried this morning with some bread and it is delicious! It took probably 5-10 minutes to make this specialty.

This is Avocado Shake. There are milk, organic sugar and some honey in it blended with Avocado and some ice It tasted like coconut ice cream along with some distinct taste.

And baked salmon for my dinner! It is crazy delicious. Kind of like Teriyaki Salmon that you get at restaurant but much cheaper!! Easy to make too. Took about 30 minutes to marinate and 30 minutes for the meat to get tender. Worth the time!

NEP must continue, says Dr Mahathir

KUALA LUMPUR: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the New Economic Policy must continue even though many Malays had misused the opportunities given to them, such as selling off their business licences and contracts.
The former prime minister said that if the Malays had made the best use of those opportunities, they would have attained not only 30% of the nation’s wealth but much more than that.
He said the NEP had to be continued because the Malays had yet to attain the quota, but they should continue to strive to avoid becoming the most backward race in the country.
“The Government will safeguard our position, but there will come a day when it will not be able to defend national policies,” he added.
Dr Mahathir was delivering a keynote address at a symposium on The Malay Dilemma: Perspective and Conclusion, organised by the Persatuan Alumni Pemimpin Mahasiswa Aspirasi Malaysia at the Putra World Trade Centre here yesterday.
To a question from the floor on why the NEP should be continued when he had admitted that there were abuses, Dr Mahathir said: “If you don’t give, then nobody will have it.
“But if you give, they may misuse it. So, we need to be more selective.
“It is not the policy that went wrong but the implementation.”   So what the F*** have you done to improve it during your freaking many years of administration?
To a question whether the country’s leadership had been too greedy and whether the Chinese and Indians had been working hard while the Malays became spoilt, he said the Government could not not spoil the Malays because the opportunities were their rights.  THIS IS THE FREAKING REASON WHY MALAYSIA IS GOING DOWN THE DRAIN DAY BY DAY!!!!
However, added Dr Mahathir, the Malays should not rely too much on the Government.
To a question by DAP national publicity chief Tony Pua on the Government’s RM6bil allocation to buy six offshore patrol vessels for the navy, Dr Mahathir said it would not be a problem for the Government to explain.
“The cost of things have gone up,” said Dr Mahathir, who had warned the Government in his address not to get into an arms race with neighbouring countries.
At a press conference after his address, Dr Mahathir was asked about reports that DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang had accused him of re-writing history by putting the blame on police for the arrest of 106 people under the Internal Security Act in 1987.
Responding to the allegation, Dr Mahathir was adamant that he met opposition leaders before Ops Lalang and had assured them that they would not be arrested.
“I have no reason to make the claim unless it (the meeting) had happened.
“I met them and assured them, but, of course, I don’t expect opposition leaders to be grateful to acknowledge anything from the Government, particularly myself,” Dr Mahathir said.
Lim had commented on the book Doctor M: Operation Malaysia – Conversations with Mahathir Mohamad, which revealed the former prime minister had said the 1987 crackdown was a police decision.
He also denied that Dr Mahathir had met him and other opposition members.
Seriously I think this old man should just stay home and enjoy his cucu and also use his $ 5-10 billion dirty money.. Pay back will be on the later generations.

CitySights ny (New York) Review(s)

Customer service is terrible. The company seems to not take care of their customers at all!

Recently took a trip to New York. Arrived on the 27th of December 2010 but was welcomed by a bad blizzard. Because of that, when we went to Planet Hollywood the next day to redeem our tickts, we were told that the tour bus was canceled for the day because of the bad weather. The condition is very understandable for the cancellation.

When it resumed service on the 29th, we were greeted with a 30 minutes wait outside of Planet Hollywood in the cold and melting snows to redeem our tickets. After getting them, we walked for roughly 10 minutes, with the crowd, searching for a place to hop on the bus. Finally found the place and waited for 30minutes before riding on it. Rode for 15 minutes to the Natural History Museum. We walked to Metropolitan after that. When Metropolitan closes at 5.30pm, we thought we'd get a ride from the Museum to Timesquare but waited at the bus stop for 30 minutes before figuring that taking the subway is probably faster.

On the 30th, we did not take the bus at all figured that it wasnt worth our time waiting for it.

When our New York Pass expires on the 31st, we wanted to take a relaxing tour (our hop on hop off wasnt expire yet) We waited for the bus at roughly 3pm for 15 minutes before decided to call the company. We were told by the operator that the bus stops running at 3pm. Considering that our plans for the day was to go on the tour, we were seriously pissed. Besides, we saw the other bus operator (Gray Line) is running and at least 2 busses passed us during the 15 minutes. Ended up, we took the subway again. My girlfriend called again wanted to reconfirm that the bus is not running and if so try to launch a report but was hung up by the operator after telling her that the bus stopped running in a very rude manner.

The next day, few hours before leaving New York, we went to a City Sights attendant to complain about it and he told us that we could actually took the Gray Line bus when CitySights stop running!!! We were shocked because we called the CitySights Customer Service 3 times and no one told us we could do that!!

It is the worst experience ever!! We will never again buy this tour and would definitely tell others not to get it. It is more convenient taking the subways to get to places or whatnot. As a student, we paid $ 60 bucks extra per person for the full package. We could have saved $360 bucks and enjoyed our trip even more.

Please tell others about it and do not get misled by all the seemingly good comments on the website. It's nonsense at best.

I am Graduating!!

It is hard to believe, but today I've just enrolled in 4 courses in Mechanical Engineering and that will be it! I will be graduating next May meaning my last semester is going to be my last!!! :)

It definitely has not been a long and enduring 4 years + of University but rather I enjoyed it to the max! It has been life changing experience all along and I enjoyed every bit of it. Awesoooome!!

End of this year, I will be dropping by to Chicago (all paid trip) for a meeting with Malaysian Student Department from 17-19 of December. Then, I will be going to Washington D.C on the 22nd and then take a train to New York on the 27th for the famous New Year countdown then on the 1st or 3rd Jan (not sure yet) leaving to Boston to visit Harvard and MIT (My 2 dream school!!)

It will be an interesting year ahead. Life is goood as always! Thank God oh yeah..
