ThanksGiving Break

Woohoo! It's the time of the year again. Thanksgiving break! At Cortney's place now. There will only be one class tmr and after that it's break from Wednesday until Sunday! Will be going to Jacob's grandparents house at Kansas to experience some American culture. From Wednesday till Friday.

Anyway, I am really grateful to have been here in Stillwater. This semester, God has truly shown me His way and i've grown closer and stronger in Him. I've learn to put Him first in my life and trust that He is in control of everything. Thank God for my family and friends who have kept me accompanied. Thank God for bringing me to the Chinese Church which i learn to serve Him and knew many brothers and sisters who loved me so dearly. Although i'm far from home, God has kept me near to my family in heart. God is good, all the time.. And all the time, God is good.

Will continue to put God as my top priority and always pray to Him. :) A meaningful lyrics:

What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bears,
What a privilege to carry,
everything to God in prayer.
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry,
Everything to God in prayer.

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy laden,
cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge;
take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In his arms he'll take and shield thee;
thou wilt find a solace there.

Amen!

Robot! :)

If you have talked to me recently, you probably know that i've been really busy with my ROBOT! Yes!! Robot.. We're building a robot for our class from SCRATCH! from aluminum sheet, aluminum bars, plastics and stuff we just make everything, design it, and build it! :)
The competition was yesterday(sunday) and it lasted from 230 pm to 630pm. It's a triple eliminations means that each team have got to lose 3 times in order to be eliminated. There 're around 14 teams competing.
The rules: There are 3 balls placed on the divider ; a bowling ball and 2 billiard balls. At the end of 90 seconds, the team with most balls on their side, loses. Also, the plane of the divider extends infinity. :)
A few look at our machine:
"The Scorpion" with it's extendable arm..
"The Scorpion"
Bad A** machine
Our team, the judge, Kevin Moore and our professor, Dr Delahoussaye

The 2 finalist team..

Okay! So this is how it went:

I'm the controller throughout the competition, and as the pictures shows, we got to the final. We won 5 matches against 4 machines in a row which made us the winner of all. (undefeated yet) Then we rested for 2 hours while other machines fight among themselve and another 2 machinese emerged among them. Both the machines have lost twice (one of them beaten by us twice).

We're pretty much the top 3 by now. So we went head on with the other team (not the one we beaten twice) and we won!! So they 're eliminated. Once again, we're up against the same machine we've beaten twice. We only have to beat them one more time to get the championship while they got to beat us 3 times IN A ROW. We lost all 3 in the row!!! Can you believe it? I almost could not trust what i see.. Was so disappointed but thought we did pretty good given that we're only hoping to get past the first round. :P We're then invited to OSU Tulsa to compete with their machine on thursday. Will see how that goes...

After that was exhausted but was asked to go to Cortney's house for dinner. Ended up with karaoke until 1230 pm on a Sunday, the day before my Thermodynamics II Midterm 2!!! But well, managed to study just enough for the test and guess i did pretty well on it. So no worriies mom and dad! :)

I'm glad i am finally out of the lab working on our machine. However, lots of tests, homeworks and another project (analyzing OSU Power Plant) coming up! :( Pray for strength in me thru my "daddy" from heaven.

p/s check out videos of all the matches on facebook! :)
